Bring Yourself Back To Your Breath

With the world opening back up, physical trends and interactions become relevant again and everything seems as if we need to readjust to getting back the events we missed, back-to-the-office life, planning gatherings with people we have been distanced from these last couple years and lately it seems that we have all been playing a game of catch up.

Unsure if it was just the fact we have been isolated for so long or if it was me introverting but to my discovery, the reach of meeting back-to-back invitations, expectations and priorities gradually became overstimulating, as if life had been taking control and I had begun to lose touch of my inner self and sense of focus. I felt the need to take a step back and go back to the things that bring comfort, confidence and fulfillment…Who am I again?

Flower shopping is my therapy, it enhances creativity, brings me joy, and provides time to literally “stop and smell the roses.”

“Bring yourself back to your breath”

..a quote that had stuck out to me as I was listening to some morning motivation while getting ready for another day of work.

When we feel as though time is flying by and we’re constantly checking off never-ending to-do lists, we actually do in fact have the ability to take time in to our own hands by giving ourselves a moment to just close our eyes and breathe.. slow time down for a bit and let all the anxious thoughts and doubts go. Be in the present moment with the most important person you got…you.

It has been a big challenge I have been working on lately and it definitely has helped during the many days I’ve been feeling overwhelmed with life events. When the noise of the world starts to take your peace, there is always a few minutes to take that breath to meet with ourselves again. It hits hard when we try to meet the person we once were, but can’t seem to recognize or meet who that was at all (..a new life transition is brewing).

For the past year, I honestly had hit a creative block (even to write seems a bit foreign), I haven’t found the “time” to do the things I used to be so enthusiastic about, the “motivation” to create, and the “energy” to connect. When really, I found my battery just ran out because I was giving all the left over energy I had to my anxious thoughts, the over-consumption of new experiences and outer opinions of the world.

Making time for things we enjoy needs to be our real priority and make its way on to our weekly to-do list to drive direction to our life’s purpose. I’ve met myself back at my breath starting with this post and it somehow sparks back the “time, “motivation” and “energy” I thought I lost grasp of. It’s time to realign, be grounded, and build excitement during the process of meeting the best version of ourselves. Lets continue what we love, what brings us joy, and what fills us up in order to recharge. Remember to celebrate the little wins, because the bigger ones are coming.

Hats off to you <3
